While Arick was patrolling at the age of his pack's border he found a female wolf with fur black as midnight trapped in a human bear trap. There was only one pack that had pitch-black fur, the Marias. With this soon-to-be alpha female, his pack could rise in the ranks and be the 2nd strongest pack in the world.
