What does it mean to be in second place? Some may argue that it signifies coming close to victory, having bested all but one. Others may see it as a perpetual shadow cast by the one who stands at the pinnacle. (Y/N) (L/N) answers this question as he's known as the Second Strongest Sorcerer of the Modern Era. He never liked this nickname because his dream was to be the Strongest... From his days as a student at Jujutsu High to his tenure as a respected teacher, he strived to achieve that title, however it was deemed impossible... After all, who could defeat Gojo Satoru? But who knows..? Maybe... Just maybe... That impossible might become possible.

Y/N Tanaka was an outlier in his family, able to see monsters from birth that no one else could. He was thirteen when he first found out what those monsters were and why they existed. Y/N got an offer from Tokyo Jujutsu high and found himself a group of people just like him, Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto and Shoko Ieiri, his closest friends. But Y/N was weak... at least by the standards of his other classmates. He had no technique, no reverse cursed technique and definitely no domain. Yet he still devoted himself to protecting anyone he could with the limited ability he had.
