Clove trained her entire life for the Games. She left District 2 to escape her father and tormentor, Favian, and bring honor to her District. Against all odds she and Cato both managed to survive. But one of them was meant to die in the arena. And President Snow is furious. Unless Clove can convince everyone she is the heartless, brutal, killer she was born to be, everyone she loves will die. This includes letting go of whatever she and Cato had--even their friendship. In the aftermath of the Games, District 2 becomes a minefield of secrets and lies. Ghosts from Clove's past appear in the day as ghosts from the arena haunt her nights. In this sequel to "Clato: Cuts Beneath the surface" Clove struggles with hiding her breaking heart and surviving the Victory tour. She begins to wonder if it would have been better to have died in the arena.

She's fought against her family's poverty and has to keep fighting to keep what she has. He comes from a wealthy family and can have anything he wants with a simple request. But both have become prideful. Cato and Clove both believe they are self-sufficiant, cold people. So when arrogant meets arrogant, and they're forced to cooperate if they ever hope to enter the Games, can they keep from killing each other long enough to start working together? In this alternate ending of the Clato fanfiction "Needing the Impossible", Cato and Clove make it to the end of the Hunger Games and come out the victors. I could give you a lame synopsis, but I'd rather you just read it for yourself and tell me what you think :)
