Luke was desperately in love with Ashton and he knew it. He knew Ashton was straight but that thought didn't seem to get to the part of his brain where jealousy lied. So when Ashton brings a girl home Luke's devastated. Luke can't take the sight of them and storms out of the house. As he's on his walk to try to calm himself down the streetlight changes to green as he's walking across it. He tried to run and get out of the way, he really did. But it just wasn't enough to keep clear of the passing cars. The blond boy gets hit by a car and severely hurt.
