Lir has been preparing her warriors since her return for a possible attack while dealing with a constant dream she has been having since her return. Since her return, she now must rely on her second in command Oluf to find any weaknesses the heathens may have, but to her disbelief Oluf is now the second in command of a heathen. However, this could possibly be beneficial to her when the Romans attack her kingdom. Soon everything Lir has known will become a lie.

Part 3 to Ease The Dawn is an alternate ending to Part 1 which picks up at the point in time of Ivars accident on the lake. A different story where their intimacy begins while still in camp.
