When Kamado Tanjiro goes out to sell coal for his family, he does not return. And a harsh winter storm blocks the family from going out to check on him. Tomioka Giyuu arrives late to the mountain with his sword ready to destroy any demons. Yet what he finds is neither human or anything like the demons he has encountered before. This presence feels heavier yet he can't detect any murderous intent or smell of blood on him. - AKA The AU where Muzan messes up and makes Tanjiro a demon king and his worst nightmare.

Tanjiro was once the brightest boy in school-warm, kind, loved by everyone. After losing his family in a tragedy, he became quiet and withdrawn. Bullied and ignored, he thought no one cared... until one girl stepped forward. Years later, he returns to senior high changed: calm, handsome, unreadable-and impossible to ignore. But the only person he truly watches is the girl who once protected him: Kanao.

Tanjiro was once an ordinary teenage boy who lived a quiet life on a mountain. He lived a fulfilling life and supported his family through selling charcoal. However, this peace would not last as one faithful night he returned home to find a merciless demon consuming the flesh of his beloved siblings and mother. The boy tried to stand up to its power, but stood absolutely no chance. He would have suffered the same cruel fate as his family had he not been saved from the monster by a mysterious swordsman and his newly demonic sister. Now Tanjiro sets himself on a quest to become a Demon Slayer in order to restore the girl's humanity. Over the course of his journey he suffers constant hardship, intolerance, failure, defeat, and loss. However along the way he gains a new purpose in life and meets people who matter to him. Especially a quiet girl with a butterfly hair pin. The boy also gets involved with the politics of the world and learns the history of a lost empire that holds the keys towards destroying the demon king once and for all.

They found her broken on the ground-- a little girl clearly broken by cruel nature. When Tanjiro and his father traveled to a nearby town, they didn't expect to return with a girl who. In the Kamado home, surrounded by warmth, laughter, and gentle voices, Kanao slowly began to change. She learned that not every raised hand meant pain. That kindness didn't have to hurt. And that sometimes... it was safe to smile. Tanjiro became her light, and she became the calm in his world. But fate doesn't forget its promises- and before the fire, before the demons, there was a boy and a girl. Note: This is way before the Kocho sisters find her. It has been months since that night. Months since Arasaka incident. Since David fought Adam Smasher. And just like everyone who had the misfortune to face Adam Smasher, David was flatlined. Lucy wished to have David, the love of her life, with her here. She wished to share her dream with him. But she can't anymore, for he was gone. Or was he?

In the final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, many of the Pillars lost their lives along the way, and few of those who survived up to that point made it to the end. With Tanjiro Kamado's sacrifice, Muzan Kibutsuji was forced to keep fighting until the sunlight pierced through the mountains, signaling dawn. It didn't take long for the Demon King to be pulverized by the sunlight. Many celebrated as they witnessed his body disintegrating, but others were already aware of the tragic fate of young Kamado-who gave his life to ensure Muzan's defeat and even in death, did not release his crimson blade. However, not everything is rosy, even in death. As Tanjiro disintegrated under the sun, Muzan injected all his remaining blood into Tanjiro's lifeless body. With his blood, Muzan implanted the phrase 'eliminate all demon hunters' into Tanjiro's mind. Tanjiro awakened without consciousness, driven solely by his Demon instincts, as his mind was no longer present. There were no more deaths, but the surviving Pillars had to sacrifice one of their arms and even their eyes to decapitate Tanjiro in his Demon form, thus bringing an end to his life. When Tanjiro opened his eyes, he found himself in a dark place, unable to see or smell anything. Remembering the battle against Muzan, he realized he was dead and sighed with relief, finally able to rest. It was at that moment...
