Another gang came up, neck a neck with them, going by the name of Amaterasu. Led by Higami Ryu, Black Dragons and Amaterasu had a friendly rivalry going on. With the disbandment of the first generation of both gangs, both former leaders die, leaving their younger siblings with holes in their hearts too large to repair. Now Sano "Mikey" Manjiro leads his own gang and Higami Hanabi leads her own and they haven't seen each other in years. However, a newly graduated student with a psychology degree and basic medicinal knowledge doesn't exactly get the pick of the litter. Kaneko Maya gets hired and takes the night shift to avoid the more dangerous patients at Sunshine Grove due to her being assigned the floor with the criminals.
