Cailleach Bheur. The Bringer of Winter. Demi-goddess queen of Wal'yah. I was supposed to be born a woman. I was supposed to lead my people, use the wisdom of the ancestors to keep them safe. I was supposed to be the greatest Cailleach since the beginning of creation, take the mantle from my grana and become what she promised me I was to be. I was meant to be their leader, and I failed them. I failed them all, and worse yet, I abandoned them. Left my home and family burning behind me, their blood coating my body, their lives bitter on my tongue. Their souls heavy in my heart. But I would return. I swore it on the blood of the goddess queens of my line. I would return, and I would bring the wrath of winter down on the men who thought to end my line. For I am Cailleach, I am my grana's grandson, and I am death to those who mean Wal'yah harm. I am death, I am destruction, and I am vengeance. Nothing would stand in my way, not even the two men who both should have been my enemies, but who I was in danger of falling much too hard for. Because I could not be weak. Not again. And my people deserved the vengeance I would bring down on the heads of our enemies. Even if it meant losing the men my heart yearned for. *****Bringer of Winter is a M/M/M polyamorous romance with magic, pirates, and gryphons. Because who doesn't like magic, pirates, and gryphons?? Trigger warnings in first chapter.*****

In an oceanic realm littered with traces of Magick, Crescent Isle had always been the odd one out. For aeons on end, it had been sheltered from the remainder of the world, seemingly as though an enormous invisible dome had been set in place around its waters to ward off dangers, paving the way for a prosperous golden age. However, darkness finally rises to the forefront across the Thirteenth Sea. Pirates, eyes glued onto the island's vast wealth and riches, invade the capital city, Silvermoon Wharf. Crescent Isle's defences hold through arduous tribulations but at a significant cost; with a timeless relic tarnished, a great evil is one step closer to emerging. In the calamity's wake, Cynthia Pryce meets a mysterious albeit familiar old man with but a single request for her to join his longspun journey across the sea to restore the distorted balance between light and darkness. Intrigued by the offer, the girl breaks free of her roots. Suddenly exposed to the vast entirety of the Thirteenth Sea, Cynthia steers down a rocky path of a new reality as she comes to terms with the horrifying state of global unrest. ------------------------------------------ Arc I - Origins - Chapters 1 - 20, Finished Transition I - Chapters 21 - 29, Finished Arc 2 - Dawn of Magick - Ongoing Notice: Temporary AI cover - official cover still pending.

"what're you doing?" "it's a pinkie promise" Aloura laughed lightly, grabbing his bruised hand and prying his pinkie from his locked fists. Her heart almost dropping at the sight of a small tattoo on his forearm. Evil incised into his skin, with two horns resting above the words. She stared at it for a moment, before shaking her thoughts away. "Now what?" he raises and eyebrow as his eyes lock with Aloura's. "You wrap it around mine" Aloura's gaze fell back onto their hands. Elias continued to watch her, and Aloura could feel her hands tremble from the nerves. His gaze almost burnt her, but she refused to meet it. "Just like that" she grins, gesturing to their now locked pinkies. "Now the promise is sealed in." Aloura's voice begins to falter. Elias' eyes fall to Aloura's lips. She licks them, and his eyes darken. Although they'd already kissed, Aloura found her knees beginning to weaken, and the oxygen around them no longer enough for two. Aloura's eyes flicker between Elias' and they stay like that for a moment, both too scared to be the first who pulls away. "That's all?" he whispers after a moment. His eyes now remaining on her lips. Aloura swallows, but nods, not trusting her voice to speak. "You can't break it" she whispers after a moment, feeling an overwhelming urge to warn him about the consequences of breaking a pinkie promise. "Or you'll lose your pinkie." A ghost of a smile tugs at his lips as he nods gently, mentally noting to not break the promise. Because who would risk their pinkie. Elias smirked after a moment before gently pressing his lips onto Aloura's slightly ajar ones. "What was that for?" Aloura whispers as he pulls away. Elias grinned, "My way of sealing a promise" Aloura laughed a little. But Aloura doesn't believe in promises. ♡ ♡ ♡ #1 in sad #pp1 in Elias #2 in Young Adult #7 in love #12 in crime #15 in sadstory #16 in romance #25 in death
