So close that Sokka can't get the firebender prince off his mind and his heart keeps skipping beats when Zuko laids his eyes on him. So close that Sokka finds himself ignoring Suki's existence and even his lost love, Yue, just for the golden eyes of a prince and wonder why does it feel so hot when the firebender touches him. For the simple reason that the exiled prince has set his heart on fire and has made him crave for the love of a firebender. In a benderless modern world, the characters of ATLA go about their everyday lives. there are no tribes but there are different groups of students that don't really merge together. families usually keep to themselves as their parents encourage them to keep away from others who aren't friends of family. In this AU all characters are a couple years older, so they're more mature then the age they are in ATLA, in this they're late teens, so no creepy kid stuff I promise. until a new kid (aang) arrives at school and changes many things for most of his classmates and the school. resulting in enraging the headmaster Ozai. I know this story seems pretty basic but I'll try to make it more interesting with many different romantic opportunities and potentially some dark and emotional twists. if you love ATLA and some of the ships then you should give this a read. Long ago, the world was broken up into four nations: Fire, Water, Earth and Air. These four nations lived together in harmony. Each respecting the others traditions and customs. But suddenly the Fire Nation's leader, Fire Lord Sozin, attack the other three nations, starting off with the Air Nation Nomads. A peaceful group of people that were also consider to be the easiest to strike against first, but there was also another reason to go after the Air Nation first. If Fire Lord Sozin got rid of the Air Nation then he would also get rid of the only person who could stand in his way of conquering the world, the Avatar. It as now been 100 years since the start of the war. Many lives have been ruined, even after Fire Lord Sozin death. Now the war is lead by Fire Lord Ozai, Fire Lord Sozin's second grandson, and one who seems to be just as cruel as his grandfather. There seems to be no one who could stop this war from getting any worse. The world seems to be locked in constant war, and it's all thanks to what people believe to be the greatest weapon of the Fire Nation has, the Sacred Flame of the Fire Nation. People think that if the Sacred Flame was taken from the Fire Nation then it would change the outcome of the war. But who's crazy enough to try and steal the Sacred Flame? Well, a Freedom Fighter named Jet is just that person. He hopes that by stealing the Sacred Flame from the Fire Nation it will give the Earth Kingdom and the Northern and Southern Water Tribes a fighting chance against them.
