Buck wanted to go home. He wanted nothing more than to be back with his family and to go home. Things had been rough this last year though, first his leg got crushed, he had a pulmonary embolism, he was told he couldn't come back to work, and then there was a tsunami. Even with now being allowed back at work after making the mistake of filing a lawsuit, things were still a bit strained. His family and home still felt like they were an arm's length out of reach. Then, things get even worse somehow when he and the rest of the team get sent to see Dr. Wells after a particularly rough call.

Buck had chosen to not tell his 118 family about his past life in the SEALs, or the fact he is in contract with them until 2028. He never thought he'd be recalled to the Navy, when the bombing happened and he almost lost his leg that seemed to be the moment everything turned upside down. He gets a blood clot tries to sue for his job and during the lawsuit he gets that big white envelope from the DOD with a big banner with the word Classified. . . Or US Navy SEAL Buck ends up deployed and he no one would let him say anything because they were mad about the lawsuit.

Buck goes home after a long day of work, he has been on the reserves for a few years as he has a contract with the seals. Buck had chosen the reserves a year after a devastating accident that took the life of half unit that he was in. Buck tries to call Eddie his fiancée but he doesn't pick up. Buck only got 48 hours to get to the base. How long will he be gone will Buck regain passion for the seals? Will he make it home will Eddie and Buck's relationship survive this whirlwind?

Buck's biggest fear is being abandoned because he's always felt alone. His parents had him for spare parts so he's never felt like he belongs here. The problem is: Everyone around him leaves so he thinks it's his fault and that nobody would care if he was gone. Eddie Diaz is his best friend. He knows when something is wrong with Buck. There's a deeper connection with him and Buck than there is with the rest of the 118. With Bobby gone, everyone at the 118 is a mess.
