Phoenix Collins. Former bike rider turned tornado wrangler. Rather famous in the backcountry of Oklahoma. Many used to know her as Cataclysmic Phoenix but now, they know her as the woman who wormed her way into Tyler Owens' heart. Everyone knew it. Everyone except her. What's the point of a storm if there's no one to chase it? And that is exactly what Phoenix was. She was a storm. And only one man, one cocky cowboy, could tame her. But when they stumble across a new "adversary" turned friend, will they change the world forever, or will they lose their lives trying?

lily had known on that god foresaken day that the tornado was no joke. she knew that if something were to go wrong, it would happen to her of all people so it was no suprise that what they thought would be the coolest experience of their lives would soon turn into the worst. after all the lost lives of not only her friends, but of the close towns to the tragedy, she left oklahoma with a heavy heart and no hopes of returning. she moved to l.a. and pursued a career in singing, completely throwing her dreams of getting to the top of the publishing industry into the trash. that was what she wanted when she had so much love and support. when she had a tight knit group of friends but with only two of them left, she couldn't bear to have any reminder of her old life. she even almost cut off her brother, javier, completely. he was a harsh reminder of everything she had lost and it broke her heart to not be with him together in a town they both had loved. but her love had soon diminished the second her best friends died. she's now just a shell of who she used to be, but she was happy in her own fucked up way. so what happens when she feels the pull of oklahoma beckoning her home? her brother needs her and she could never deny him. if you had told her she'd succeed in stopping a tornado from killing anyone else she loved she would have said "screw you" and walked away in a cloud of self fury. if you had also told her she'd fall in love with a cowboy she would've wanted every detail you could give her.

After a failed experiment attempt goes wrong and Meg and her best friend Kate Carter lose three of their friends due to an F5, Meg tries to move on and finishes her degree in scientific weather prediction aka meteorology but she is still haunted by what happened that fateful day. After getting her degree, she is convinced by Javi, a good friend and member of Meg and Kate's old team, and Kate to return to Oklahoma to help with a project when she meets Tornado Wrangler Tyler Owens. But they don't meet for the first time. Meg and Tyler were neighbors growing up and Tyler often went on storm chases with Meg and her parents.
