The day the Sully family arrived at Awa'atlu requesting uturu, Lo'ak, and Tsireya locked eyes.
As usual, Lo'ak is struggling to learn the ropes but thankfully he has a little help, Tsireya. As their acquaintance-ship becomes a friendship that deepens with time, their possible feelings for each other make them wonder what else they can be.
With the loss of the Neteyam, the duties of the eldest son fall to Lo'ak; and he's got big shoes to fill. The mantle is not all it's cracked up to be. Lo'ak is now his father's primary hunting partner and Kiri and Tuk's primary protector which doesn't leave him much time for anything. He's still harboring the weight of the loss of his brother and the trauma attached to the contentious relationship with his father...there's only so much he can handle.
Modern AU
The Sullys have just moved to California and the kids have been thrust into a new school mid-year. Moving is never easy and making friends even less so. While Neteyam, Kiri, and Tuk are on their way to settling into their new home; but Lo'ak is struggling. Being a detention regular, all the substitute teachers know him. His bully, the captain of the swim team is already a pain. However, bully's younger sister, Tsireya, has been nothing but kind to Lo'ak. She seems to see him in the middle of chaos. Could she be the friend he's looking for? Or will his attraction to her desire more than friendship?
Securing Successors
Ronal's uncle was chosen to take on the mantle of chief and she was excited to see how his leadership would take shape. Then her aunt died. After the time of mourning passed, his sister took on the role of Tsahik thrusting Ronal and her brothers into the subsequent role as children of the first family. Ronal began training to be the next tsahik much to her chagrin. Will anything change her mind?
