And they did, six best friends decided to go on a road trip during their senior year, before everything falls apart. The things get messed up after Lauren and Camila kiss. The year is 2078. The world is split - war torn - completely altered by the decline of technology and the rise of certain powers. Camila does whatever she can to ease her family's burden, although simply surviving is hard enough on its own. Life gets even more complicated when a confused stranger washes up on the beach, running from war and rebellion in her own country. Now, along with a new, unfamiliar friend and a string of fabricated truths, Camila does her best to make things work. But with the government in complete control and the people at its mercy, they all know that things can change in the blink of an eye.

Summary: Lauren Jauregui is an immigration lawyer for the state of New York. Camila Cabello is a Mexican/Cuban born "immigrant" trying to avoid deportation. Though a portion of her nationality is Cuban, she was born in Mexico and therefore is ineligible to receive permanent residence under the Cuban Adjustment Act. She researches and finds that she can get an adjustment of status if she marries a U.S. citizen, simultaneously ridding the possibility of deportation. It isn't set in stone but Camila is willing to give it a try.

(in my shoes) • Look with your eyes. Judge with your soul. • First impressions almost always suck. They can be spot on or way off, depending on how open and receptive you are to the other person. When you make preconceived notions about people, learning to tolerate them can be a little difficult. What if you have to live with them? That's the situation Camila and Lauren have been put in. As typical and cliche as it may be, two totally different worlds collide. However this time, neither of them know whether they'll mould or combust.
