Max came to Jackson Middle School as a (loosely) normal teenager with a slightly murky past, but leaves in a hurry, chased by the undead. The story starts as a comical take on a difficult situation but evolves to adrenaline-inducing seriousness once Max realizes that there is much more at stake than she thought.
