What if Romeo and Juliet never fell in love at first sight, but slowly, without knowing each other's family histories? And what if the Montagues and the Capulets weren't noble families, but cruel crime families?
Never Have I Ever is a dual-POV character-driven contemporary novel with romance and crime elements. It is the first one of the Games We Play series.
It reimagines the doomed-romance-because-of-rival-families of Romeo & Juliet, in a contemporary setting similar to the Daisy Haites series, and blends it with the moral conflict and family dynamics of the Godfather, where the internal character struggle between self and legacy slowly (but ultimately) leads to moral decay.
*In the summer of 2019, the sheltered daughter of a Russian oligarch meets the gilded heir of the Sicilian underworld, sparking an attraction that will test their loyalties and awaken buried grudges.*
Rule #1: The game of power is won by those brave enough to play it
----
A slow burn mafia romance series, in which the heirs of two rival crime families are drawn into the deadly game for power, in a world where loyalty is written in blood, secrets are currency, and love is a liability.
Very loosely based on the idea of a mix between Romeo & Juliet and The Godfather, aka there are two rival families with two rival heirs who do (eventually) fall in love for real, all while struggling with the realities of being born into a crime dynasty.
