The sky keeps bleeding. Zombies wander the streets mumbling to themselves. But Lindsay is doing just fine! She has a nice house, plenty of friends who enjoy meat just as much as she does, and a cute diary covered in stickers to help keep her sane while towns die and cities are bombed. Sure, people keep accusing her of strange things and seem scared of her. And yeah, the dead listen when she talks sometimes. But that doesn't mean something is wrong with her. Everyone else is the problem. --- Book 1 of 3 Complete. Sequel: This Is How They Died (coming later this year!) --- Official publication by AliceMoonvale. This novel is only available on: Royal Road, Wattpad, Inkitt and Fictionite. If you encounter this story elsewhere, it has likely been reproduced without my permission.

A story about a smart woman who loves her husband, her son and her life. When she learns that her husband isn't the man she thought he was, she works on giving her son the life he deserves. It's also about a lying and cheating man, who thought he was clever enough to avoid honesty and accountability in his life. Sometimes making a mistake and then sincerely apologizing, just might just not be enough. "Mommy, why is daddy and that lady nakey hugging?" My son innocently and loudly asks, while his father seems to be trying to locate his pants. Spoiler alert, they are on the floor under my feet, by the door, not anywhere near where he and his 'nakey' friend are sprawled on the couch. The woman shrieks, Kayley and I both fumble for the light switch just as River hits the button for daddy's 'magic office windows', which are now fully visible to the entire office floor, and all 127 employees are staring at and sharing my horror as my husband and his whatever she is are naked and trying to get dressed. Well damn, happy Wednesday to me.

Re-posting. The common story is that finding a mate is supposed to make the wolf stronger. For an alpha, finding his mate, blessed by the moon goddess, strengthens the pack. But there can be such darkness hidden in that dynamic. Even those of cruel hearts can seek the power of a mate. And the damage they cause might not ever be healed. ***** Prologue: Drip. Drip. Drip. The rhythm or the water would have been soothing if it hadn't been so cruel. Drip. As it was, it was nothing more than a taunting form of torture. Drip. Ears could hear the soft thudding of raindrops at the end of the hall as a door was pulled open in squeaking protests and then shut with a harsh metallic clang. How the rain made its way into the depths of the cement room, it didn't matter. It was there. Drip. Step. Drip. Step. The footsteps were strong and full of purpose. Though just as unwanted as the drops of water that fell too far out of reach. Unable to quench the dehydrated desperation chained to the wall. Drip. Step. Drip. Step. Only one set of footsteps. There was no question of the destination or purpose that carried them down the hall. Not that it was a surprise. It was always the same. First the pain, then the visit. The cell door opened to darkness. There was no energy to move, not even enough to will eyelids to open. Not that it mattered. The visit never changed. What more could be said? What more could be done? All that mattered was that stale, barely edible food was only given after he was done. Only then, could there be any comfort from hell. ***** WARNING- This story does delve into topics of kidnapping, imprisonment, rape, murder, and violence. Though the scenes are not explicitly detailed, underage readers are discouraged. Also note that I do not own the rights to any photos I have or might post for this story. Just photos I found online, cropped and edited. The story however, is all mine. No copy of content is permitted.

He is her fated mate. She is everything he hates. Kara Fletcher is the Wolven Huntress - a hunter turned werewolf, now protecting the very species she was trained to destroy. Alpha Chris Ashford lost his father to hunters barely a year ago. The grief is still raw. The rage still burns. When the mate bond ignites between them at a supernatural summit, it should be destiny. Instead, it's a living nightmare. Chris doesn't reject her - not officially. His duty to his pack won't let him. So he accepts her as his mate while hating every second of it, every breath she takes, every reminder of what hunters stole from him. Kara feels it all through their bond. The disgust. The resentment. The wish that fate had chosen anyone else. But she accepts her role as his Luna anyway - because his pack deserves stability, because her wolf deserves a mate, because walking away would prove every wolf right who said a hunter could never belong. Two people bound by fate, trapped by duty, burning with emotions neither can escape. But when hunters return with a vengeance and blood demands blood, their fragile bond will be tested in ways neither could imagine. Some sacrifices can't be undone. Some choices can't be forgiven. Can fate survive hate - or will it cost them everything?

Frida died on the battlefield with no family to mourn her-only a comrade she saved, and a quiet hope that she might see the man she loved but never confessed to. He too had perished in war. A soldier. An orphan. A soul full of quiet regrets. Her only comfort in life? The stories she devoured in secret-especially the ones about loved daughters finally finding a place to belong. But fate had something stranger in store. When she wakes again, it's not her body she returns to-but that of Nej, the veiled, forgotten princess from the last novel she read. Scarred, unloved, and pushed aside-a tragic villainess who had once moved Frida's heart. Now, somehow, Frida is inside her. But it's not just reincarnation. It's inheritance. Nej, it seems, had turned back time-returning to the moment she was scarred by her mother's blade. Too broken to face her past again, she summoned the one soul who had mourned her in silence: Frida. A girl who shared her pain. A girl who also bore a scar from her first battle. A girl who would take her place. Now, with both their memories tangled inside her, Frida-as-Nej carries more than just a royal name. She carries two lifetimes of sorrow, and a vow to break the cycle: She will fulfill Nej's unspoken regrets. She will reclaim her own life. And she will shatter the gilded cage of royalty-sword in hand. Because this time, she's not living for duty or death. She's living for freedom.
