The Story of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a story we've all come to love, but what really happened before the heroes we know saved all of Hyrule? A princess with sealing powers - rather a princess who needed to access these powers is assigned a personal knight who succeeds in every challenge at every turn. Zelda. A beautiful princess who's failures reminded by her silent, personal knight. Link. Her personal knight who's sole purpose is to protect her, whilst not uttering a single word. •○●•○• Zelda develops a deep habit of overthinking, because she feels she's failing her role as upcoming Queen of Hyrule, especially with the rise of yiga clan attacks after her mother's death. More pressure is added with the recurring topic of duties especially when Zelda finally let's loose of the kings standards and expectations-- especially when spending time with Link... who somehow has more in common with her than she thinks, despite him not saying a word. He remains a mystery to her. A mystery she hoped to solve as she slowly gets closer to him. °•○•○●° But as they open up and spend more time together, will the initial clash develop into Romance? Or will this be unacceptable since boundaries certainly exist-- especially with the rising expectation of marriage for Zelda. And more importantly- will he ever talk? (A retelling of Breath of the wild) Chosen to be Zelda's knight, Link travels from his home village to the mighty Hyrule castle, where he is met with a stubborn princess and a power-hungry king. A twist on the original story of the events before breath of the wild, we delve deeper into the beauty of Hyrule and explore the beautiful romance between a princess and her knight.

Zelda doesn't believe in soulmates; Zelda barely even believes in herself. That is, until Link turns up with a sword strapped to his back, heralding the end of times. Now, they must work together to prevent the fall of Hyrule and rise of Calamity Ganon. But, the task proves as tricky as expected, especially when Zelda feels like she's falling faster than her Kingdom...and perhaps in a way she never expected to. Pre-game (and post-game, eventually) fic centred around Link's memories and what might've happened in between them.

Before the rise of Calamity Ganon, Princess Zelda of Hyrule was appointed to travel across the lands. She was to learn about the technologies of the ancient civilizations before her kingdom rose and speak to the leaders of each nation. And along the way, she must bring her trusty friend and guard, Link. But as they travel, with nobody else around to talk to, they grow to find an affection for each other that's deeper than a friendship. But how, in a world governed by politics and potential war, could they find a way to stay together?
