Y/N, a smart 19-year-old, forces her way into L's investigation, wanting to help catch Kira. At first, L is suspicious of her, but as they work together, he realizes she's more than just another suspect. Their cold relationship slowly turns into something deeper as they team up to take down Kira. "I don't trust you," L says, eyes locked on hers. "Good," Y/N replies with a smirk, "you're not supposed to."

He answered the phone, holding the top of the phone with his pointer and thumb, "Yes?" "Detective!" The voice beamed. He stopped immediately and froze in place, "How are you?" "I'm fine." He said after composing himself. He wondered how the girl even got his number. "Should I stay back for my next robbery? We could talk and enjoy some scones. Whaddya say?" She added, "Just don't arrest me though." L hummed, "Tempting but I can't make any promises." "Tell me, L." Y/n said, her voice was sweet and alluring, "Were you thinking about me before I called?" The detective was taken back by the question. Instantly her heart was in the nights they had lain side by side on the huge canopy bed of her room in Wammy's house, and he had fallen asleep holding her hand.
