For centuries, the rain never ceased in Fontaine. Legends spoke of a heartbroken sovereign, whose sorrow bled into the sky itself. But time marched on, and myths faded into history. Now, in a world where Archons and Visions are mere stories, Furina Castrelo is just another struggling college student-drowning in debt, failing exams, and questioning why she ever thought psychology was easier than law. Life is messy, but at least it makes sense. Until something shifted. A fortune from a man she's never met. A company far too powerful to be left in her hands. And a name that sends an eerie shiver down her spine: Neuvillette. "Have we... met before?" As Furina searches for answers, shadows slip into her dreams. A sorrowful voice whispers in the rain. And buried beneath time's weight, the truth waits to be found. "If you truly wish to know, keep searching. But be warned-some answers come at a cost." What happens when history refuses to stay buried? When love defies time itself? (crossposted on AO3) (Every art in this fic is commissioned by me. It is drawn by the amazing artist @@aria_syljia)

I found this pictures on Pinterest but I'm not sure who the artist is. I love your artπŸ’Œ πŸ₯€πŸ₯€ "...I don't know what I'm doing," she admitted at last. Neuvillette did not respond immediately. He simply stepped closer, his presence grounding yet unobtrusive. Furina tightened her grip on the railing. "For five hundred years, I played a role I never asked for. And now, with the curtains closed, I-" Her voice wavered. "I don't know who I am anymore." A soft breeze passed between them. The city of Fontaine continued to thrive below, its people moving forward. But Furina remained frozen, trapped in a past that no longer existed. Neuvillette, however, did not pity her. "You have carried this burden alone for centuries," he said quietly. "It is only natural to feel unmoored now that it has been lifted." She scoffed lightly, though there was no real malice in it. "That's just a polite way of saying I'm lost, isn't it?" A faint smile ghosted Neuvillette's lips. "Perhaps." Furina exhaled sharply, shaking her head. "I want to leave," she murmured. "Start fresh. Find a new home." She let out a humorless chuckle. "I have money, at least. Being an Archon paid well." Neuvillette did not disagree. "...But I don't know where to go," she admitted. "Or who I'm supposed to be." A quiet pause. Then- "You do not have to decide everything now." Furina turned slightly, looking up at him. "The people of Fontaine do not hate you," Neuvillette continued. "You may not see it yet, but you are still a part of this nation."
