I always thought Malachi and I would stay the same forever. Late-night FaceTime. Inside jokes, no one else understood. The kind of friendship where people raised their eyebrows and whispered, "Are you sure you're just friends?" And every time, I'd laugh and say, "Yeah, we're just friends."
