Memories scattered, emotions torn, and lost in her own mind, Sophie Foster is finally free of the Neverseen after many long months. While struggling to return to a semi-normal life and recover her missing memories, Sophie finds herself once again in Keeper's possession and working from the inside to destroy the Black Swan. All the while, despite knowing full-well that the Black Swan is the enemy, she can't ignore the constant nightmares of another life, in which she's befriended her enemies. Nor can she forget the constant nagging feeling that Fintan's hiding something from her... I rewrote this to get rid of that pesky writer's block. "You are a freak!" the words of her ex-boyfriend, Fitz. "Stop trying to replace Jolie! We will never love you as much!" Keefe cut in, "I won't let it." "Just in case," Sophie whispered, the pained look on Keefe's face made her chest tighten. "Promise me you'll be there for my family and our friends if I can't, you know, be there." A tear traced it's way down her face. Keefe bit his lip as Sophie continued. "And.. This story is based on the idea that in book one of Keeper of the Lost Cities, The Neverseen were successful in capturing Dex and Sophie and washing their minds and the Black swan could not save them as Sophie gets tricked into believing, the black swan is the bad guys are she needs to destroy them.
