Human firefighter Evan Buckley thinks a drunken one-night stand with his alpha best friend, Eddie Diaz, is a mistake-until Eddie scents the impossible: Buck is pregnant with his child. Buck grapples with a body he never thought could carry, while Eddie's protectiveness turns feral, refusing to let him lift or bend. With the 118 as their messy support system, awkward distance turns into love, overprotectiveness into partnership-and "just one night" into the start of their family.
