Highest Rank: #11 in Science Fiction I am a seventeen year old named Anonymous. I do not know my real name or my past because my brain was wiped clean. Along with other amnesiac teenagers, I was taken to an academy and all I had to do was sleep, dream, and repeat. The dreams I and the other "Awakened ones" had, were submitted into a dream log in order for us to compete to become "Username 1." Thinking the number 1 was the lowest we could get, we would shed sweat and blood to achieve this title. Becoming Username 1 not only made you a leader of your fellow dreamers, but it also let you move onto the next level of becoming an Elite. *Some chapters will be based on actual dreams* Cover by @lumierutsuki

ELECTED is the sci-fi story of a girl who masquerades as a boy to take her country's presidential role in a futuristic America. It deals with issues of tolerance, gender, women's rights, and environmentalism. It's the first dystopian book written from the government's perspective. Book cover blurb: It's the year 2185, and in two weeks, Aloy will turn eighteen and take her father's place as president of the country. But to do so, she must masquerade as a boy to avoid violating the Eco-Accords, four treaties designed to bring the world back from the brink of environmental extinction. Aloy hopes to govern like her father, but she is inheriting a different country. The long concealed Technology Faction is stepping out of the shadows, and as turmoil grows within her country, cryptic threats also arrive from beyond their borders. As she struggles to lead, Aloy maintains her cover by marrying a woman, meanwhile battling feelings for the boy who knows her secret-the boy who is somehow connected to her country's recent upheaval. When assassination attempts add to the turmoil, Aloy doesn't know whom to trust. She understood leadership required sacrifice. She just didn't realize the sacrifice might be her life.

The one thing that we need most is killing us. Two hundred years ago, scientists discovered that oxygen, although essential to our survival, was actually killing us. It was just taking around eighty years to do so. Humans were never meant to die. However, when a new gas is found that can sustain humans without hurting them, the entire future is changed. People will now be able to live forever. Today 2214, human life is thriving, as no one grows older than his or her prime. ‘Societies’ around the world are full with peace and prosperity, death rates are lower than anyone ever imagined and the ‘new gas’ is working wonders. But the world isn’t overcrowding. Babies are taken to outside facilities where they breathe oxygen to help them grow and learn everything they need to know. The smartest and the best are then released into society at the tender age of twenty. The dumb, the un-talented and the ugly … disappear. No one knows where they go; no one knows what happens to them. The family move on and never question because if they did … they might disappear too. The biggest secret of the government is hidden just outside the gates of the cities: What is it? The only thing left to do to stop a sadistic, controlling government is for a group of rejects and 'socials' to band together and fight. Oxygen is deadly to humans, but there are worse things out there.

Delaney Escott lives in a world where popularity reigns supreme. If you want to be noticed, social status is everything. The government is run by the Superiors: a very exclusive group of individuals who are virtually flawless. They are smarter than us and stronger than us, and to join their ranks is the highest honor. The Superiors pay an annual visit to the top schools in the nation and evaluate the students, choosing one boy and one girl - the most Popular in the school - to go the Capitol and train for Superiority. Delaney thinks that she's the only one indifferent to (and perhaps even suspicious of) the Superiors, until Caleb Payne, the most popular boy in school, approaches her with a request. He has a task for her, one that he believes she is uniquely capable of completing. And as she helps him, Delaney discovers that the government is hiding many secrets - and that the truth of the Superiors is far from what people believe it to be. Teenage super soldiers Z-25 (A.K.A Hunter) and A-23 (A.K.A Esparonza) created to be the ultimate warriors. They have been locked away after being ordered to kill their own team members. Now, their only hope of freedom is to complete a series of life, or death games. Should they fail... ...well, let's just say they can't. Also, some chapters are split up. This is more for my benefit as it takes me a while to write sometimes. Updates are sporadic as of right now. COMMENTS AND VOTES ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
