Ponyboy Curtis is living with his two older brothers Sodapop Curtis and Darrel Curtis whom they call Darry. Ponyboy has become depressed and lonely and starts having suicidal thoughts and hallucinations. He gets panic attacks often and rarely eats, speaks, or even leaves his room for that matter.

Percy is the baby of the gang. He is Darry, Sodapop, and Ponyboy's little brother. The gang does everything in their power to protect Percy, but the socs always get around the gang to poor little Percy.
