Curly Shepard had always seen him. He stood out from the other Greasers, with his thoughtful eyes and quiet manner. Ponyboy knew everything about Curly Shepard. He was as a tough, reckless guy from the other side of town, always getting into trouble with his gang and causing chaos wherever he went. Ponyboy thought he knew what to expect from Curly - violence, selfishness, and a disregard for rules. No one could've thought that someone like Curly would ever fall for someone like Pony. (Takes place after the events of TWTTIN)
