'Marry in haste, and repent at leisure.' May knows all about that. Stuck in a small Welsh town in 1964, May's life couldn't be more different to the life of her favourite Beatle, George Harrison. But one chance encounter and that is all that is set to change... I originally wrote this short story in 2004. It could do with a little re-write I think, (which I may do one day!) and it's a bit rough round the edges, so any feedback would be gratefully received! Why, then, does he find himself drawn into the arms of another woman? **story contains mature content** This story is loosely based around the rumors of a secret relationship between John Lennon and Alma Cogan, a British singer known as 'the girl with the laugh in her voice.' She was the highest-paid British female entertainer of the 1950s and became close with the Beatles as their fame grew. There is not a ton of information out there regarding the possible affair, but Cynthia Lennon spoke about it many, many years later. Learning about some of the details she gave made me want to explore the possibilities and add my own twist. While this story is loosely based on actual people and events, none of it should taken as anything more than pure fiction. I do not own the Beatles (no matter how hard I wish!) or their likenesses.

1957 was proving to be a strange year. Leaving London was difficult in and of itself for Denise, but to do so at the beginning of summer? An absolute drag; and to the dirty, port city of Liverpool, no less. Her summer job was to mind her parents' new music store, and, much to her dismay, be hospitable to the sorts of characters it attracted. Teddy Boys, albeit fascinating, were nothing but trouble. But when she goes to Quarry Bank High School for the first time, she ends up accidentally tripping the biggest jerk at the school, 17 year old John Lennon. At first, it seems that Rosie will be made fun of every day of her life for the school year, yet that all changes when John becomes her partner in a school project. She gains a secret that makes the pain worth it. But not everything turns out as perfect as wanted. Then again, Rosie is just a lonely person, living a lonely life.

John is a teddy boy in the outside. Lucy is a teddy girl on the outside as well. At school they're best friends, until after a couple of months of knowing each other, they change the status. But as they become recognized as a couple, they realize something... Both of them have Secrets. And only time can reveal them.
