★••••★ This is a Naruhina story that takes place right after the pain attack and continues all the way until they're young adults. Naruto realizes his feelings for Hinata as he spends more time with her but puts them aside. War being right around the corner, he couldn't help but grimace at his decision to confess to her when it was announced and didn't think it was appropriate when everyone is so stressed about it. Naruto does not remember that Hinata confessed to him at all. Childhood traumas further prevent him from expressing his feelings. Hinata, meanwhile is saddened that Naruto doesn't remember her confession but decides to not bring it up. Protecting herself from further embarrassment. When the war was announced she distracted herself by getting stronger.
