Katara has a hate towards the Fire Nation after what happened to her mother. At the Catacombs of Ba Sing Se, Aang almost dies after being shot down by the princess of the Fire Nation, Azula. After putting her trust on a certain firebender, she doesn't feel that she can trust him again. But when he comes into her life again, she hates him for everything he has done to her. But what if that hate can turn into love? After he puts on line for hers?

A complete Cannon rewrite starting from Book One; novelisation of each book, focusing on Zuko and Katara, and featuring canon-divergences, aged-up characters, mature themes, pining and Two Idiots in Love.

Katara spend a great amounts of time hating Zuko after his betrayal under the crystal catacombs of Ba Sing Se. She had trusted him and he had betrayed her. When he joins Aang and starts teaching him fire bending her emotions get complicated and she is soon torn between her hatred towards the fire nation and her strange attraction to the Prince of said nation. Zuko infuriates her, annoys her , he is a constant reminder of Aang almost dying yet she finds herself trusting him again and slowly loving him. ~*~*~*~ The story is currently under Edit because it has been two years since I completed it and my English and writing ability have improved since then. I just need to fix it and make it perfect!

Zuko is eighteen and has been banished for almost five years when he discovers that he is the avatar. He decides it will be his destiny to take down his father.

Katara is 18 and the Southern Water Tribe has held an uneasy allegiance with the Fire Nation for the last 100 or so years. When Katara's tribe goes through a food shortage, Katara takes it upon herself to make sure they survive. She agrees to enter a competition where the young Prince Zuko will choose a wife out of 35 women. Katara promises herself she only has to last a day until a truce she can't ignore is offered, and now Katara is in it for the long haul. A Zutara! Selection AU. Sokka held up his old schedule and looked it over, then grabbed a second schedule that was on his desk and held it up to compare the two. "Uhh, what was the class code again?" "BIO 113." Sokka's face puckered. "I may have discovered the problem." Zuko groaned. Past 'discoveries' with Sokka had taught him to expect the worst. "What?" "You picked up the schedule off my desk?" Sokka asked. "Yeah?" "And signed up for the Intro to Biology class listed?" he continued. Zuko's voice had more frustration in it this time. "Yes." "It wasn't my old transcript you were looking at. Katara gave me a copy of her schedule this year...the code you used was for my sister's class." Zuko blinked. "Your sister who is studying to be a doctor?" Sokka nodded slowly with a grimace. "I'm in a Pre-Med biology class?!" "Yeah..." Sokka trailed off. "That's rough, buddy."
