Between the Lines of Us

A love story about healing after loss, independence, first-time love, and what it's like living with autism and ADD as a young girl.
Aurora Evans-mostly known as Rory-suffers a tragic loss at the age of sixteen, leaving her completely alone, with only distant family offering limited support. Now seventeen and in her senior year of high school, she lives on her own, trying to balance school, two part-time jobs, and her role as head editor of the school paper. She has only two close friends... though soon, there might only be one left.
One day after school, while working her favorite job at the bookstore, she meets Ryder Cameron, the 17-year-old captain of the soccer team. He approaches her asking for book recommendations, but she quickly realizes he's not there for the genres. When she questions what he's doing at her job, he shyly admits-cheeks red-that he's interested in her and asks her out on a date.
Later, during a university tour, Rory literally bumps into a 19-year-old student named Marcus Hayes-or maybe he bumped into her. It all happened so fast. In the chaos, she spills a drink on his crisp white button-up shirt and profusely apologizes.
With her heart wide open and her world shifting, Rory is pulled in unexpected directions.
Does she make a choice that could change everything? Or will life decide for her?
