When she starts to learn the different forms of betrayal she leans into targeting the brightest witch of her age as an outlet. Mixed feelings combined with a post-traumatic condition she's still trying to overcome, leaves Violet even more agitated and bitter. She loathes the annoying existence of Hermione Granger, but somehow she makes her Hogwarts experience more enjoyable. This slow burn starts from year 1 and will complete with Deathly Hallows.
