"Well, Ms. Ashley, nothing is wrong with you. You're as healthy as ever" I sighed with relief. "So, what happened then?" I asked the doctor. "When was your last menstrual cycle?" "Um over month ago I think, why?" I answered. Why would he ask that? "Your six weeks pregnant" the doctor said. What? Pregnant? Yeah okay, that's funny. Troy Harvin is a 17 year old boy from the nice part of town, and a good family with hidden secrets. His mother is an early retired surgeon due to a ligament injury that completely ruined the function of her right hand, a little brother who Troy spent most of his teenage years taking care of and a dad who ran out on them when Troy was 12 after the passing of his sister. He's a humorous, passionate, kind delinquent with a good heart, and he always felt like he never fit in anywhere, until he met her. Lyric Sterling, an 18 year old recovering drug addict and mother to a 6 year old little girl who is biologically her sister. She is honest, caring, and intelligent but reckless. She came from a big family with lots of siblings that is now spread out due to her mother, a dangerous woman and gang leader who Lyric has spent most of her teenage years trying to avoid. Lyric and Troy instantly find a familiarity in each other and they quickly fall into friendship, which then quickly develops further into what Troy would call love. He fell head over heels for her without any control, and now he has to deal with the consequences of falling in love with his best friend, and not being able to have her. Little did Lyric know that the man that became her best friend who taught her how to trust again would also be the one to coax her heart back open.
