Si Hiraya ay simpleng mamamayan lang na tinutulungan ang mga magulang nya na maghanap buhay dahil hindi sapat ang kinikita ng mga magulang nila sa kanilang magkakapatid. Isang araw ay inaya syang magtraining sa Dragon Empire camp dahil sa potential na nakikita sa kanya pero laking pagtataka ni Hiraya kung bakit sya inaya kung gayon ay hindi sya naglalaro ng basketball.
