Senator Riyo Chuchi is beginning to lose her faith in the Republic. After being the target of several assassination attempts, she finds herself placed under the protection of Commander Fox and the Coruscant Guard. Riyo has many suspicions about the leadership of the Republic and decides to take matters into her own hands. With the help of Commander Fox, she begins to unravel the many mysteries of the Senate, and of her own mind as well. Commander Fox never took interest in politics until Riyo Chuchi entered his life. He had only ever seen the war as black and white. However, as the two of them began to work together to uncover several plots and mysteries within the Republic and the war, he finds himself lost in a pool of gray. War is not all it had seemed at first. Fox is swept away in a whirl of plots and plans, and the only thing there to anchor him is a senator whom he'd had no interest in. The more Fox is with Riyo, though, the more he realizes that there is more to life than following orders. The war is nearing its end and no one knows what waits beyond it. ~Book two to Valerie's story~ What was only one mistake turned out to be the very thing that possibly saved her life. Newly appointed Jedi-Knight Valerie Ortis thinks her old way of life is over. She made a mistake and she knows that but that doesn't stop her master from removing her from the one family she's come to know. Now she's stuck with this new team that she had no interest joining at first, but after spending some time in the care of Clone Force 99 she starts to question her jedi training. New feelings that she's never truly experienced before start to come into play and she doesn't know what to do. Should she choose to pursue her feelings towards a certain member? Or follow the Jedi Code? Valerie is of course going to follow her orders and suppress these new feelings. But things change when Order 66 is called and the Jedi is forced on the run and doesn't know who to trust or if she can trust anyone ever again. With no one to turn to, scared, and alone, Valerie makes a choice to put her all of her trust in the force and reach out to anyone who might hear her plea, and someone does answer back. ~Book one to Valerie's Story~ Jedi Knight Valerie Ortis story began long before meeting her beloved Bad Batch. Found as an infant by the Jedi Counsel's Master Plo Koon, she found her new life at the Jedi Temple and began working her way on becoming a Jedi Master. Except one thing. She's an outsider, an outcast. None of the other younglings talk to her and she doesn't help herself by isolating herself from the other younglings. Until she meets her first friend. Together they spent the next few years training together at the Jedi Temple. That is until the council decided that they are ready to become Padawan's and she meets her master. Jedi Master Drake Amon. A Jedi who had no interest in wanting a padawan at first, but Valerie unknowingly made her way through his tough exterior. Master Amon is a tough teacher and she's tough to teach but the two of them somehow form a strong bond. She's finally found a family where she belongs. Her journey is a harsh one but with the help of The Clone Battalion 671st she gains the confidence one needs to become a strong Jedi and before long she's taking her trials to becoming a Jedi Knight. But can she handle her newfound knight-ship? Or does she throw it away? ~~~~ This is a prequel to my story 'The Bad Batch Aftermath.' Padawan Aesaedii "Saedii" Synn barely survived Order 66. At 15, she gained only a year of experience learning under Master Plo Koon before her Clone friends turned on her. Now alone, she is struggling to survive in a world without Jedi. Starving and desperate, she makes the dangerous journey to Ord Mantell, following rumors of an old Jedi contact who can get her a job.
