Where The Road Learned To Wait is a quiet fantasy story about survival, gentleness, and the unexpected ways broken lives can find their way to each other.
Kili, a half-cat bard, grew up in a world of warmth and music. Until war tore her home apart and left her running, alone, with only her mother's melodies to keep her grounded. Years later, she wanders the roads as a cautious traveler, carrying songs shaped by loss and the occasional warmth.
Semmel, a Minotaur once chained and forced to fight for the amusement of others, escaped a life of cruelty only to discover kindness in the most unlikely place: a village bakery. Quietly searching for peace, he now walks the world with a hammer in his hand and a question in his heart: whether a being is defined by what they are, or by what they choose to protect.
When their paths cross at a forgotten roadside shrine, neither expects the meeting to change anything. Yet step by careful step, they begin to walk together. Sharing fires, silence, and slow, unspoken understanding that grows between those, who have known pain too early.
This is not a story of grand destinies or blazing battles. It is a story of held gazes, softened footsteps, and love that arrives not with certainty, but with patience.
A story about learning when to run... and when to stay.
