Once they arrive, they are introduced to the golden blossom, Kya, a female monkey demon who was born from a blossom of an apricot tree that was blessed by a divine being 800 years ago. Monkey king agrees to take her to flower fruit mountain and keep her safe, having never left the monastery or island in her entire life, Kya is excited about seeing the outside world having only read about it in books. But sadly, her new life on flower fruit mountain is very much like her life was back at the monastery, with Wukong forbidding her from leaving the island. Tired of being told what to do Kya sneaks off the island one day to hang out with Mk and Mei only to wonder off and gets herself lost and finds herself in front of a shadow theatre and meet the mysterious six eared macaque. Kya finds him fascinating and sees him as the free spirit that she wishes to be, wanting to get to know him more, Macaque however sees this as an opportunity to get revenge on Wukong, but slowly his feelings start to change the more time he spends with her and once the Lady Bone Demon returns with an ally who has his eye on Kya, Macaque must decide what is more important saving his own life or protecting someone who makes him feel alive and something he has never felt before
