Rebellions...are often built on either lies, misfortunes, or spite. And in the case of the Blackfyre Rebellions...it was all three. When King Aegon "The Unworthy" not only sired, but legitimised Daemon I Blackfyre, along with gifting Daemon the ancestral sword Blackfyre, from where Daemon got his name, it sent ripples throughout the Seven Kingdoms. And these ripples, went from mere whispers about the legitimacy of the King's trueborn son, Daeron Targaryen, to loud and open shouts that Daemon Blackfyre should be King. After all, he was supposedly everything Daeron was not. A warrior for one, and an honourable man for another.
Naturally, these calls were ignored, and so the fire that had been started from Daemon Blackfyre's legitimisation, grew from a small flicker, to a violent bonfire, and war tore through the Seven Kingdoms, as the First Blackfyre rebellion kicked off like a volatile thunderstorm...
Unfortunately, this rebellion was doomed from the start, despite its promising beginnings, and Daemon was killed at the battle of the Redgrass field, leading his forces, which included Aegor "Bittersteel" Rivers, to flee to Essos and try to rebuild what they had lost...
Four more times the Blackfyres rebelled, and four more times were they defeated and repelled from the Seven Kingdoms, with each rebellion that came after the first one, becoming more and more desperate and bleak. And it all culminated, with the death of Maelys "The Monstrous" Blackfyre in the Stepstones in 260 AC, because after that, the Blackfyres were all but forgotten, their house seemingly destroyed...
But what if it wasn't?...
What if some Blackfyres still remained? And what would happen, if these last living Blackfyres, encountered Daenerys Targaryen? The Daughter of the Mad King, who had also been forced into exile?...
This is the story, of Daemon V Blackfyre...the Black Dragon Reborn...
