When Jim uses the chronosphere to turn back time, he messes up and goes back 11 years into the past instead of three. Now stuck in his 7 year old body, he needs to find someone who will believe him. And a certain 900 year old wizard is the perfect candidate. Basically Jim is back to being a little kid, which is both nice and annoying, and he needs help dealing with some things that were set in motion far too early because of the time travel. But sneaking around as a 7 year old is somehow even harder than doing so as a teenager, and everyone's hell bent on helping him even when he doesn't ask for it.
