She has lived for centuries... never once did she think about working for anyone. Sylvia worked alone, never trusting anyone for long. Until she finally felt the solitude.
For a fleeting moment, Sylvia considered something she never had before: letting someone in.
Yet she brushed it off. She kept people at arm's length. She couldn't afford to let anyone get too close. After all, watching people die was a curse she would never escape. She knows how it goes, how it works, how it always ends.
She is left alone and in pain. She will always be someone who had lived through untold suffering, someone who had carried burdens far heavier than any man or soldier ever could.
"What's that for?"
"Something I need. Let's just say I'm tired
of people slipping through my fingers."
"You believe in those things?"
"Honey, I am those things."
