Inspired by the New York Times best seller Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. As time ticks by with every moment spent on the island of Cairnholm, Amber DeVine realizes she hasn't got much of a life at all. The days simply consist of waitressing at her Uncle Kev's pub or enjoying the company of her only friend, Martin. That is, until a mysterious boy comes to visit, claiming his late grandfather knew things about the abandoned children's home that resides on the island, things no ordinary person could perceive. Together, they uncover the truth about the children there, as well as their distinct Headmistress who may be linked to both the boy and Amber's past. All the while, rewriting their lives for the better and unravelling a past Amber would rather keep hidden. A tale of adventure, regret, romance and down right peculiarities. I don't own any of the rights or credits of the characters and story of Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children (Ransom Riggs does) except Amber DeVine and her peculiar antics. Please enjoy my remake with an extra character! (This is a MillardXOC fic). [Highest ranking in Fanfiction - #137 (I think)] BOOK ONE: Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children (My Remake) COMPLETED! In the progress of editing. Sam is the most promising swordsman among this year’s crop of Paladin trainees...and knows it. Brash, cocky, and unbeatable with a sword (well, almost), Sam is the kingdom of Thule’s best hope against the violence wrought by demons. The only problem is that Sam is really Lady Samantha, daughter of the seventeenth Duke of Haywood, and if her father has his way, she’ll be marrying a Paladin, not becoming one. But Sam has never held much interest in playing damsel-in-distress, and so she rescues herself from a lifetime of boredom and matrimonial drudgery. Pity that Tristan Lyons, the Paladin assigned to train her, is none other than the hero of her childhood. He hasn’t recognized her as Lady Samantha--yet-- but if he does, he’ll take away her sword and send her packing. Sam is not the only trainee hiding secrets: Braeden is a half-demon with a dark past that might be unforgivable. Sam, Braeden and Tristan set out for the western coast, charged with rooting out an infestation of demons that has made the West unlivable. As they travel, they uncover a deep-seated corruption of power that threatens to derail everything they stand for. Rebellion stirs, led by a rival faction of warriors who tempt Sam to join them with an irresistible offer. A war between men is coming, and Sam must pick a side. Will saving the kingdom cost her life -- or just her heart? Reminiscent of Mulan, but with a medieval fantasy twist, Paladin is a tale of adventure, action, and romance.

Travel with Emily as she unlocks the secrets of her Celtic ancestors as she goes on a mystical journey to the inner house and beyond. Join the Journey . . . WHAT READERS ARE SAYING: "Natalie Wright has divined in Emily's House a simultaneous modern and ancient fairy tale of the greatest kind: sans parents, sans immediate consequence, sans cowardice. Bravery is said to be not the lack of fear, but action in the face of it. Like the best of Grimm, Perrault and Charles Schulz, Ms. Wright's kids find themselves amidst adventure, terror and turmoil, as well as ineffective and/or absent parental units. By their own bootstraps they must find help themselves to find their way home, to save not only each other, but perchance an entire civilization. "Adults drool, kids rule" is the motto for any well-written young adult or children's tale. Natalie's kids indeed rule. This one will last, alongside Grimm, Perrault and Schulz, in the coffers of timeless, fantasy literature. Plus, there's Hindergog and no one could not love Hindergog! Well done, Ms. Wright. Well done, indeed." - Jennifer S. Devore, author of "The Darlings of Orange County"

(Now available as an ebook and in print!) A dark retelling of Cinderella in early America. In an age when cutting up dead bodies is considered taboo, Cindy’s father is a mortician. She is happy with their fascinating life, though controversial, until he marries Anna van Burren and two new sisters are brought into the family. After her father’s death, Cindy’s life spirals into darkness as she is forced to become a servant in her own home, wait on her hated siblings, and can’t even let the one man she thinks about know that she is alive. This man is also the object of her step-sisters’ affections, and he must marry before age twenty-one if he is to get his inheritance. That day is fast approaching. All hope for Cindy being that woman – or of salvaging anything that should have been left of her life – seems lost. It takes the appearance of a strange woman who brings a wicked prophecy for Cindy to see how blessed she can become – and to see what sacrifices were made to give her hope once again.

Epic, mind-bending, and as sweet as it is vicious, Lani Lenore’s Nevermor is a dark fantasy based on the legend of Peter Pan, geared toward a more mature audience. Recommended for 16+ – In 1873, 15-year-old Wren longs to escape her life in a London orphanage. Prompted by a world she sees in a dream, Wren begins to believe in a world called Nevermor, an island at the edge of the universe, where all dreams go. She discovers the Rifter, a wild and volatile but handsome boy, who guards the realm of dreams from terrifying nightmare creatures. Wren begins to desire her own life there – to escape with her brothers without fearing that anyone will separate them. Wren falls in love with Nevermor – and with the Rifter – and yet the more she learns of a conflict between the Rifter and a wicked, black-hearted man called the Scourge, the more she comes to realize that Nevermor is not a place for children.
