[WATTYS 2018 LONGLIST | WATTPAD FEATURED STORY] Sam Sterling is the lone commander of a risky space mission. Her task: to take six prisoners to a remote asteroid, Externo, for a life sentence. But Sam's careful plan is disrupted when a meteoroid storm cripples her ship, and requires more than one person to repair. To survive, Sam must free Dave--prisoner number six--to help repair the damage before it's too late. With time running out and Externo looming, Sam must decide whether she can trust Dave's tale of innocence, or if her entire mission is a lie... HIGHEST RANKING: #13 in Science Fiction. Earth has a population of roughly a billion hominids. For the most part, they are happy with their lot, living in a preserve at the bottom of a gravity well. Those who are unhappy have emigrated, joining one or another of the swarming densethinker clades that fog the inner solar system with a dust of molecular machinery so thick that it obscures the sun. The splintery metaconsciousness of the solar-system has largely sworn off its pre-post-human cousins dirtside, but its minds sometimes wander…and when that happens, it casually spams Earth's networks with plans for cataclysmically disruptive technologies that emulsify whole industries, cultures, and spiritual systems. A sane species would ignore these get-evolved-quick schemes, but there's always someone who'll take a bite from the forbidden apple.

Warning: Sex, drugs, rock 'n roll, and Anne Rice-sque vampires. "Hush..." Nicolai was close to Lyndall's ear now. His cold aura permeating the boy's soul with fear, incapacitating all his movements. The creature had fair skin, almost translucent, with hair that glistened over his shoulders in a shower of silver. He was as beautiful and murderous as a blizzard that was now suddenly still. The strength of his body was overbearing like a glacier at the summit of a mountain about to create an avalanche. His gelid sharp fangs flashed in his smirk, "You'll wake the neighbors." His red eyes glinted menacingly back at Lyndall's with unfettered enjoyment. Lyndall's heart dropped further into his stomach, coming to the realization that this creature was an empty tundra, and he was going to die by it... Update: Thanks for the reads... Currently rewriting and fixing up the whole story!

When an ancient book capable of summoning a demon is stolen from heaven, Narius, a young and not so bright angel of knowledge, is cast down and ordered to destroy it. If he fails, he can never return to his blissful life as a lazy library guard. Fortunately, to aid him in his quest, Narius is accompanied by the Codex, a theoretically holy book, who sprouts terrible courtship advice like a cheap fortune cookie. Upon arrival to the world below his, Narius is tricked into helping Emily, a greedy sorceress in a bit of a pickle, trying to deal with a hungry dragon. Together, the human and the angel must overcome enchanted apples, evil elves and the impoverished dragon or risk watching their world burn.
