Abuela Alma decided that Isabella was going to have her proposal before Antonio's gift ceremony. Of course everyone had to agree because Abuela was the head of the house. But Isabella's proposal turned out going horribly wrong and she ended up not having her proposal at all. Mariano's mother said that Mariano was no longer going to marry Isabella. The cracks in the walls grew bigger and the entire casita came crashing down. Abuela of course blamed Mirabel for the disaster. Although it was Mirabel's fault for the proposal going wrong but it wasn't her fault the casita fell apart. They built the casita back to the way it was but Abuela placed the doorknob on and the miracle came back to life. Mirabel was forced to stay out of every family event including Antonio's gift ceremony. But when Mirabel broke the rule that Abuela made, Mirabel was given a punishment she will never forget. She wasn't allowed to talk to any of the Madrigals. This really affected Mirabel's socialization with her family. What made things worse was Mirabel's cheerful, kind, happy self left her to this miserable emotional girl. Of course she wouldn't breakdown in front of her family but she seriously broke down in her room. Things got worse and all the Madrigals began to see it. Will Abuela finally see the mistake she had made? Will Mirabel ever be herself again? Will her family need to save her from the sudden darkness surrounding her? Mirabel Madrigal a 15 year old girl who has gone through so much, she's been abandoned ever since she didn't get a gift. She's gone through so much, she was ignored, neglected and blamed for problems that she didn't even do and constantly reminded of that day. She goes through a sudden change, she grows another emotion. She grows more childish and finds company in younger children as she feels as if she's just like them. She didn't know where it came from, could it have been the loneliness eating at her? Or could it be Casita who wanted everyone to have a different insight?
