Simon, out of some weird premonition, tells the captain to wait before she dives in to get him. With no other choice but to trust each other, The Captain listens for once. As he gets to the last stretch of his mission, the Blood Eel chases him down, ready to devour him to keep The Light and its secrets in the depths of the Blood Ocean. If there is a God, Simon prays that he can survive. He doesn't care how, he just wants to live. Please...

We narrowly escaped Filament Station with our lives. Our brothers and sisters were not happy to see us... Especially The Father. Simon and I somehow managed to get off scot-free. I suspected that there had to be a catch, but I would worry about that after I had my baby. *** This is a short spinoff of my original Iron Lung Fanfiction Series. Please read "Before Filament Station" and "Filament Station" in order to understand this story better.

All Simon knows is that they CAN'T send anyone else down into the blood. 2. God Does Not Wish for Blind Devotion The moon was flooded by nonbelievers. Insisting to see their God. Few survived. The ones that did turned into the beasts under the surface. Disfigured beyond recognition, doomed to live with the knowledge that they craved knowledge. Curiosity will be the downfall of man. ---- or, Simon learns about God and why he hasn't died yet. 3. I'm Waiting for My Curtain Call A "what if" Simon got taken to the I.R.I.S facility and ended up in the room next to Chase Brody's. 4. I'm Waiting for My Curtain Call pt 2 Simon and Chase find their way out of I.R.I.S and pick someone up on the way. More long freaking conversations ensue. 5. Just a Little Bit (Just a Little Bit Longer) The same day keeps happening over and over and over again. Things only start to fall apart when Simon finally notices that something isn't right. 6. (Like a Little Kid) I Don't Feel I Belong Here Simon gets sent to quarantine and meets his roommate. 7. We're Withering a Little Bit (Just a Little Bit) Simon goes into the blood ocean. Jack and Ava have a conversation.
