At breakfast, he was greeted by Richard, Anais, and Darwin at the table. Darwin and Anais were feeling okay because they both had a dentist appointment for half day. They believed that they would be okay for going to school for only half day. Sadly, Gumball didn't think going to school at all was great. His father, Richard, wanting to be a good parent, he decided to give Gumball a so-called "Wonder Hug". Nothing would ever be the same again. This sends the two of them on the run from not only Rob, but a new enemy like none the town has ever seen before (even by Elmore's standards). With the entirety of Elmore, and possibly the world, at stake, the two lovebirds are indirectly sent on a journey both physically and emotionally. Gumball is now introduced to the darker side of the fairy's emotions and her feelings about herself and her powers.
