Pandora Paige Alexander is the main focus of what the government has cleverly named the P. P. A. Project. The project is a series of government run facilities, tests and inspections to learn and replicate a rare condition Pandora has lived with for more than 90 years and yet still has the face of a 17 year old. But what Pandora didn't expect after all these years of tests and questions is that there is more to her than simply a rare genetic condition but the key between this world and another.

It was pity that first made Dannie speak to him. She had known Ryan since she was a kid, but he had always been the popular Golden Boy, and she had always been the tomboy that didn’t mind not having any friends. When a mysterious boy shows up and Gwen's workplace with his hand on fire, she joins with other kids her age who have developed strange powers. They are hunted by a man in black, who burns down their homes, so they hide in the construction area behind Zeke's house. Then they find themselves in a castle in who knows what state, and are told some unbelievable things. Course, what's unbelievable when you can fly at will?
