Kristophales
Here is a book of rhyme and word
Written by a little old me.
I have loved to rhyme and use words of wit
Since the tender old age of three.
But now I feel I must digress
From keeping one's wisdom to oneself.
I would hope to find this profound wisdom of mine
Hidden in a book on your shelf.
The gift of knowledge is one so great
It is even envied by deities.
Man has traveled near and far
In search of the answer to many a mystery;
To the stars, to the gods,
To things up and things down,
To why we yawn, to why we wake at dawn,
To why the Earth goes round.
Though these "mysteries"
May not be so anymore,
There are still questions on man's bucket list
That still have not received a score.
So it is with this conclusion
I give thee my sincerest thanks
For staying to hear this rhyme
That these words you may embank.
Now I will leave you to your reading,
A robe and reading glasses you will don.
Notice how these messages sink in,
As they are words that will live on.
