Just before her 13th birthday, her father decided to move them to California. Now 17, an incident with her father leads Skylar to move in with her Uncle Mason for good. With minimal parental supervision, new friends, and some newfound freedom what kind of trouble will Skylar find herself in, and what secrets might she uncover along the way? JJ was her first crush, her childhood best friend. Rafe was just the cute, mysterious older brother of the kids she used to hang out with from time to time. Skylar comes to find herself stuck between the two, realizing they're both just two different sides of the same storm, having to choose which side she's willing to take on: the free spirited, reckless, deeply caring one - or the dark, mysterious and sometimes even dangerous one.
