What it was was an alien organism with a sole purpose to assimilate and mimic anything and everything biological lifeform on a planet. "The THING", a highly intelligent, strong, and hard-to-kill organism, had perfectly assimilated a person before being induced into a cryogenic slumber. However, as we know, the planet is dead, with no organic life. What will happen with its entire purpose is now stripped away from it, and it has to create a new one? As well as help the cast of murder drones against the other eldritch horror on the planet. Will the Thing, now known as y/n, help the cast against a fellow eldritch being, or will it join them?
