Well, becoming a Dungeon Master, scamming the Goddess into being your servant, and using every loophole in the system to profit would be a nice start.

(Quick disclaimer this is not the story of how Cain became the Marvel Multiverses Shadow Monarch, at least not for the main continuity that's gonna be in Savage Shadow Rider someday, it can be considered how Cain became Shadow Monarch in full for this stories universe but not for the main story) Cain Blaze had issues, no one would deny that, it was usually what made people stay far away from him, such as his many lovers, and many of his children, apparently finding more stable father figures, the only one who didn't leave him on purpose supposedly, Petra Parker, and his children with her, Rin and Roxy, Roxy had been kidnapped young by the demon Mephisto, and Rin now served as his successor should Cain get himself killed, which happens, the Shadow Rider dies. Then, he returns, not as the Shadow Rider, that name is forever gone, now he's in full, the Shadow Monarch, king of the dead, the Lord of Cinder, the greatest fragment of brilliant light, but he still has a long way to go before he's ready to stop the coming threat.

The Second Giant War was gruesome. With only 3 of the 7 left alive, they demigods of prophecy left the camps. They were unable, or maybe just unwilling, to be in the places where their friends once walked. They chose to escape the world of demigods while they still could. They wanted to try for normal so that maybe, one day, they could forget any of it ever happened. They wanted peace and safety. Nico... well, Nico had other ways of coping. ------------- Nico had had a long life. 16 years old, plus however many had passed in that cured casino had left little joy in his life. He had lost his grandparents, his mother, Bianca, his friends, and then Hazel... he missed her more than he could bare. He only knew his sister for around a year before he had lost her, and not a single day had passed in the last two years that he hadn't thought of her. He couldn't go to either camp or the underworld without feeling like his chest would explode from the pain. He knew she was in a better place. Her and Frank were in Elysium with Jason, Piper, and the rest of the heroes that died in the wars. She was at peace. Maybe she had even managed meet his mother and they were watching him now... though he honestly hoped they weren't.
