However, for Hunter, while the livestock and vegetable crops were a major source of food, he goes on supply runs and food runs as well, helping out his fellow survivors however he can. Throughout the entirety of the conflict for survival, Governor and his army would come back, threatening the future of Hunter and his friends and family's lives, but little do they know, the Governor isn't the only threat to their humanity.

Eight months after the farm got overrun, Hunter, Rick, and their group look around, trying to find the perfect place to hold up in, but they never had the time to settle and rest as a group of walkers would show up after an hour or so. While taking a break from traveling, Hunter, Rick, and Daryl would go off on their own, hunting for food until they come across a prison, large enough to keep them safe despite walkers taking a majority of the space inside it. Even though they would clear out the prison at the entrance, they still had a long way to go until they finally cleared out a holding cell block for them to stay in. However, they feel more safe than they did on the move for the past eight months. The question is: are they really?

Since the CDC explosion, Hunter Pelletier and the group have been traveling to Fort Benning, looking to get shelter and find a way to survive. However, a herd of walkers would separate his baby sister Sophia from the rest of the group, causing chaos, but as they look for Sophia, Hunter is wondering if he's really even a man at all. Later on in his teen years, Hunter would finally have the courage to fight back against Ed after finding out that his own father would sexually assault his baby sister, and would come this close to getting Ed in jail until Carol, at the last second, would press no charges on her husband, leaving Hunter infuriated with his own mother still being willing to stay by Ed's side. However, as the dead would rise and the people would die, Hunter had no choice but to go with his family to drive on the outskirts of Atlanta, and set up camp with a fellow group of survivors. During this time, he developed a friendship with the fellow survivors, including Dixon brothers, and while Merle was dead set against teaching Hunter about living outdoors, Daryl would take up the reigns and mentor Hunter in living off the land and hunting for food while being capable of being the camp's chef a few times. As the survivors try to live and work together, they would hear a voice on the radio, and what they find out would be so shocking, even the abuse Ed did on his own family doesn't match up the horror they are about to face.
