If there was one thing that June McCarthy excelled at, it was talking. She was one of those people who could make conversation even when there was no conversation to be made. Awkward silence didn't exist -- comfortable silence did, with special people -- which was both a blessing and a curse. Some people loved it. It drove others crazy.
The thing about being talkative is that its only endearing for so long. At some point, if you're just talking but not really saying anything, the quirkiness runs out. You have to discuss things that actually matter. It's an art, really.
Luckily for June, that's where her bachelor's degree (with honors!) comes in handy. There was nothing more dangerous than a woman who knew what she was talking about, and wasn't afraid to speak her piece.
Her parents always thought she'd pursue a law degree, or maybe political science. Media studies wasn't exactly what they were expecting. She could've been a lawyer, or a philanthropist, or president.
But, naturally, she started a podcast.
